We welcome any person, class, and organization that would like to volunteer with RamPantry! Volunteers are the backbone of our organization and must commit to whichever shift they sign up. Anyone who wants to volunteer at RamPantry must be trained.
If you have any questions or want more information about getting involved, please contact us at email@example.com. Some of the ways that classes and groups have helped with volunteering are:
- Holding food drives and making donations (both food and monetary).
- Making “foods to try” with ingredients from the Pantry.
- Holding information sessions in classrooms/lecture halls.
- Making and dropping off recipes.
If you are interested in supporting RamPantry outside of volunteering during our open hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Any work done for our organization outside of regular pantry hours will also count towards service hours!
Donation Drop Off Locations
Donations can be made in the collection bins any time the Student Commons is open at RamPantry, Room 121 on the first floor of the Commons, at any participating food drive, or at room B11 in the Grant House on the MCV Campus, 1008 East Clay Street.
Start a Food Drive
Donations from the VCU and Richmond communities provide over 90% of food that is handed out to those in need. We welcome any individuals and organizations that want to support. For information on food donations, receiving aid in setting up a food drive, and scheduling drop off times of donations, please contact us at email@example.com.
Note: Food donations to RamPantry will benefit RamPantry and/or the Central Virginia Food Bank.
